Please NOTE if your computer is connected to a SCHOOL SERVER:

  • Once you have downloaded "Team Manager 8.0" and the "CSSA Swim Events 2024" files DISCONNECT your computer from your SCHOOL SERVER before you open "Team Manager 8.0"
  • Your school server has a very powerful anti-virus program that may block or delete some files in "Team Manager 8.0"

•               click on "Swimming" downloads
•               down the bottom click on "TEAM MANAGER 8.0"
•               click on "Lite" to download program
•               download  "User Guide" which will be very helpful

 
Once you have downloaded the LITE program you will need to import the list of CSSA Swim Events 2023 into the program before you enter your students names & times etc

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: Importing CSSA Swim Events 2024

1.Place Attachments on desktop - do not try to unzip files

2. Open Team Manager 8.0 for Swimming

3. Click on File: Open/New - Type in your SCHOOL Name, Prim or Sec Zone Entries 2024

4. Select folder you wish to save this data base & click open

5. Click on Set-up: Preferences: System Preferences & complete the following:

  • Gender Designations: select Men/Women
  • Athlete Browser Options: TICK Show Ages, Show Date of Birth, Show School Year, Last Name First
  • State/Province Labels: select use "State"
  • Team/Swimmer Defaults: Team Registration - AUST ; Team Type - AGE ; Country - AUST ; LSC - NSW ; State - NSW
  • Meet Age-Up Date: select 3rd option & enter 31/12/23
  • System Age-Up Date: enter 31/12/24

6. File: Import - Meet Events

7. Open attached file which should be on your desk top ie. MeetEvents-CSSAPrimarySwimEvents2024-001.zip

8. File will be unzipped & placed in a temporary folder - click & open  file Meet Events-CSSA Primary Swim Events 2024

You should now be able to view the CSSA Prim or Sec Swim Events 2024 by clicking on "Meets" & then "Event"



RUNNING ORDER OF EVENTS:  ie. event number

The order of the events is based on the Primary or Secondary State Swimming Carnival

PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE EVENTS

THEY MUST REMAIN THE SAME SO THAT WHEN YOU SEND YOUR TEAM LIST THROUGH TO YOUR ZONE CONVENOR EVENTS WILL MATCH UP CORRECTLY


STEP 2: Setting up your Team (School) details

  1. Before you can enter student names into the system you MUST enter your TEAM (school) details
  2. Click on "Teams" &  Add
  3. A "Team Maintenance" window will open : PLEASE ENTER YOUR SCHOOL CODE ( 4 DIGITS) & FULL TEAM NAME & Short Team Name - see below for school codes


DO NOT CREATE YOUR OWN SCHOOL CODE - YOU MUST USE THE CORRECT SCHOOL CODES

STEP 3: Set up your data base so that you can include "School Yr" for every competitor

  • Click on SET UP: Groups/Sub Groups/ Codes
  • Show Types: click on "School Year"
  • Delete any codes that are there
  • Add new codes: Example: Code: 7 Description: 7 Code Type: School Year OK
  • Do this for ALL school years ie. Primary: 3, 4, 5, 6 & Secondary: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

 

STEP 4: Enter student details - you must include the following information for ALL competitors

Click on "Athlete" & Add

  1. Last Name
  2. 1st Name
  3. Birthdate   (age is calculated automatically)
  4. Gender
  5. Member of :  TEAM 1  (drop down box with your school code)
  6. Member of :  School Yr ( drop down box with school years)

 Click OK after you have entered student details to save information

 


STEP 5: Linking Students to their EVENTS

1. Click on "Meet" & "Entries" - Entries by Name

2. A list of your student will appear - click on the 1st student & all the events they can compete in will appear at the bottom of the screen

Note: Primary Multi-class Events (Swimmers with a Disability) will be listed for all competitors. They are -

  • Event 10/16: Multi-class 50m Freestyle
  • Event 20/24: Multi-class 50m Breaststoke
  • Event 27: Multi-class 100m Freestyle Mixed
  • Event 31/35: Multi-class 50m Backstroke
  • Event 39/43: Multi-class 50m Butterfly

 

Secondary Multi-class Events (Swimmers with a Disability) will be listed for all competitors. They are -

  • Event 20 & 28: Multi-class Freestyle
  • Event 42 & 50: Multi-class Butterfly
  • Event 62 & 72: Multi-class Breaststroke
  • Event 94 & 102: Multi-class Backstroke

 

Do not select these events unless they are a Multi-class competitor

 

3. Click the "Enter" box for each event your student will be competing in AND INCLUDE THEIR TIME (Custom Time)

WARNING: When entering times DO NOT include dots or semi colons JUST type in numbers ONLY.

Team Manager will convert the time to minutes, seconds, hundredths of seconds

Example:  To enter  52.67 sec  Type in 5267

STEP 6: Entering RELAYS - link student names to relays

1. ENTERING students names into  relay teams - "Entries by Event" :Relays Only (top menue bar)

2. Ensure that the "Swim for Team" drop down box at the top of the screen has your school code listed and also in the middle of the screen

3. Click on relay event, New Relay (middle of page) & then select the 4 swimmers who are in the relay team and enter time in Custom field

4. Once you have completed your entries you can check them by going to "Reports" - Meet Entries



STEP 7: Export Meet Entries to your ZONE CONVENOR

  1. File: Export - Meet Entries
  2. Select folder you wish to save file - you cannot change the name HOWEVER it will automatically include YOUR School Code at the front of your file name
  3. Email attachment to your ZONE CONVENOR
